Well folks, I made it back from my travels and am back to continue sharing thoughts and ramblings. I’ll overview the past few weeks in case you were wondering where I went.
The first leg of my journey was to Washington D.C. I and some other friends got together to fellowship and just hangout. We play some Ultimate frisbee, toured Mt. Vernon, Toured a bit of the Mall in DC, and talked about many different things. There were daily bible studies in the evening, and many awesome memories were made.
After the week in DC, I immediately went to our State capitol to Chaperon for TeenPact. This ministry’s mission is to train youth to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture at a a time in their lives when, typically, they do not care about such things. I learned a lot about serving as a chaperon running errands to Walmart (yuck), making sure the guys in my room where ready on time, and other duties like that. The week grew me, which is what TeenPact always does. The students attending were also awesome, so that made things fun as well.
Then the last few weeks I have been intensively training as Restaurant Marketing Director and Hospitality Leader at a local Chick-fil-a. I was promoted to the position last week, but have quite a bit of things to learn. So I’ve been investing a lot of time into being the best I can there, as I desire to be an asset, not a liability to the workplace.
So there you go, a small glimpse of the past few weeks. Hope you enjoyed hearing the update, and I’ll see you in the comments below. ;)
